About our puppies and our placement process:

Bringing home one of our puppies is not a simple or easy process (nor should it be). Be wary of breeders who actually seem to be trying to talk you into buying one or more of their puppies. If their bottom line is a quick sale they care very little about the health, temperament, placement and quality of the puppies they are producing and it can cost you, both financially and emotionally, in the long run.
As with any other hard sell;
Let the Buyer Beware.

Our website is designed to highlight our dogs and children and their achievements. It is not put together simply for puppy sales and we do not churn out puppies for profit. Families who are simply seeking a companion, with no interest in pure-bred performance sports are always encouraged to check with local rescues and Petfinder for abandoned or homeless Siberians in need. Registration papers may be necessary for those who exhibit and work their dogs in registered dog sports but papers tell very little about the love and loyalty that may or may not exist in a dog's heart. We are happy to place our puppies in great pet homes that do not actively work their dogs however we would be just as happy to see those families pass on our puppy to give a homeless rescue a happily ever after. For those who are looking for a  family dog with no interest in working, performance, or conformation; please consider a homeless Siberian first and please research the breed and it's unique problems to understand what you are getting into.

While we are happy to discuss placement of our puppies with interested families, we have created this page as a shortcut for interested families and ourselves.
Please take the time to read this thoroughly before filling out our application. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to discuss them.  Thank you.

Our sires & dams

While we are very pleased with our dogs, we understand that just because they are here and easily accessible does not mean they are the best matches for each other when choosing mates for a breeding. Outside studs have been and will be used when we feel the outside male is the best match for our female at the time. While we understand some families would like to meet both parents of a puppy, this may not always be possible if our female has been sent out to a stud in another area or state. We will always do our best to be certain a potential outside male has the appropriate temperament and health prior to a breeding. We will also provide families with contact information for the owner of the male if they wish.

The health and well being of our dogs is always our main priority. All of our Siberians will have their eyes cleared and registered with CERF or SHOR within 12 months prior to any breeding. Their hips will be screened and registered with OFA at 2 years of age. Their thyroid will be tested and registered with OFA every other year after their first year. The numbers for their clearances will always be posted on their web page and we will also provide paper copies of these clearances to the families of our puppies. If any of our dogs fail their health clearances they will be removed from our breeding program and altered immediately. We will never compromise on the health of the puppies we produce. Be wary of breeders who either don't know or don't care enough to offer eye and hip clearances on the parents at a minimum. These are very necessary clearances that every responsible breeder should be doing.

We do not feel that a dog must have a show pedigree to be a good dog. There are responsible breeders who have produced some excellent dogs without having finished them or their immediate ancestors in the show ring. Many sledding kennels have produced wonderful lines that may not resemble the fuzzy teddy bears of the show rings but which are wonderful, healthy, working examples of the breed. We will also be the first to admit that the politics in dog shows permit some to obtain Champion titles on dogs that perhaps should not have titles due to poor temperament, health or conformation. It happens. With that being said, we will still continue to show our dogs in as many venues as possible (including AKC, UKC, Canada and Europe) for several reasons. First and foremost, we really find it is an enjoyable way of bonding with our dogs and our children. Secondly, we want to be able to prove our dogs in as many venues and under as many judges as possible. It has become an affirmation for us to achieve multiple titles on a dog. We also intend to pursue performance titles in agility and obedience when our other activities slow down a bit. For now we participate in performance sports such as obedience and agility purely for fun. Watch out however, for breeders that advertise puppies from Champion lines or advertise show puppies when the parents or ancestors in the last three generations are not show champions. A breeder advertising show puppies without actually showing their own dogs has very little chance of knowing what exactly makes a good show puppy. More than likely you are simply buying a very expensive pet quality puppy that will never achieve a title in a show ring.

Our dogs are all registered with multiple registries including AKC, UKC, and CKC (Canadian). Those imported from Europe have FCI registries as well. Puppies we sell will either be dual registered with AKC and UKC or triple registered with AKC, UKC and Canada.

We do NOT utilize any of the for-profit business ventures calling themselves registries such as Continental Kennel Club,  American Pet Registry Inc., National Canine Assn etc. because they are heavily utilized by puppy mills and commercial or irresponsible breeders. The CKC (Continental Kennel Club) will register any dog including mixed breeds of questionable background. While mixed breeds are just as wonderful companions as pure breeds, the shelters are overflowing with desperate mixed breeds that would love a good home and family. Rather than paying $1500 for a designer dog that a breeder concocted by throwing two random dogs together, please consider adopting from a shelter or rescue instead.  You will save a great deal of money and save a life as well.

Our Puppies

Our puppies may be sold with either a Full Registry (meaning AKC recognizes them as breeding stock and will register any future offspring they produce) or on Limited Registry which means quite the opposite. The puppies with LR are registered with AKC and may participate and earn titles in AKC performance sports such as Agility and Obedience however they are not recognized by AKC as breeding stock. Thus any puppies they produce are NOT eligible for papers or registration. Puppies we sell to pet homes are on LR. They are strictly for companions or family pets and they are sold on a spay/neuter contract requiring proof that the dog has been altered by 7 months of age. No papers or pedigrees will be released until proof of spay or neuter has been received.

We do not produce puppies for profit nor do we sell to just any buyer with cash in hand. We will never knowingly place any of our puppies into a breeding home that does not exhibit or work their dogs in some manner. We live for and with our dogs; not OFF them and we will never place them in a home where they are  destined to be breeding machines churning out puppies for profit only to be dumped when they are no longer able to be bred. Exhibition and working homes do not get a free pass simply because they exhibit or work their dogs. We will only place puppies with full registry in homes where we feel the puppy will be bred responsibly, screened for health problems and loved for the unique personality that they are.

Our puppies are born and raised in our home where they get hourly handling and attention by us and our children. Since we are only breeding in the hopes of a new show prospect for ourselves or another show/working breeder and since puppies cannot be appraised for show until 8 weeks of age, EVERY puppy is given the same intense care and nurturing as though it is "The One"; "Our Keeper". Puppies are weighed at birth and again, every day, for three weeks. The smaller puppies, if there are any,  are nurtured and given more time nursing to help them catch up. After three weeks of daily weighing they are  all weighed once a week until they are 8 weeks old.
Puppies are weaned onto a natural and healthy raw diet. While we prefer that all of our puppies grow up on this same diet, we understand that raw is not for everyone. We recommend the dry commercial foods found here and on our FAQ page.
Dewclaws are removed by day 3.
Nails are clipped regularly for the comfort of the dam.
Puppies are wormed at 3, 5, & 7 weeks.
Immunizations are given on a
6, 9, 12 and 16 week schedule so puppies will
receive at least 1 set of immunizations and possibly two
prior to going home with their families.
Puppies are also microchipped to help them find their
way home if they are ever lost or stolen.
We begin paper training our puppies at 3 weeks of age, crate training and leash training
between 4-6 weeks to ease the transition for our puppies when they
got to their new homes at 8-10 weeks.
They are also socialized with children and other dogs.
Throughout the first 8 weeks we keep careful notes of weights, immunizations,
personality traits, etc. and these records as well as puppy photos are provided to the families.
Regular updates are sent to the families that have already reserved a puppy.
At 8 weeks the puppies receive a Bordatella vaccine and their first HeartGard
and are appraised for pet or show homes. Show/working puppies are pulled and reserved for show/working/breeding homes.
Families choosing a pet puppy will be able to make their
choice from the remaining 8 week old pet puppies in order of their deposit placement.
The puppies go to their new homes current on immunizations and with a 72 hour health guarantee and
a 2  + 1/2 year genetic health guarantee.
We provide a yahoo group message board for our families to communicate and to share updates and pictures. We offer cash rebates for classes and titles completed. We provide support for the life of our puppies and we expect our families to remain in touch with us with annual updates at a minimum. We like to place our puppies in homes with active families where they will have the best chance of remaining happy, healthy and permanent family members. If you feel you would be a wonderful match for one of our dogs or puppies please fill out our application. We breed on a limited basis and have a reservation list so it can be difficult to get one of our puppies and there may be a wait.
The families who have one of our puppies can tell you themselves, it is well worth it.
