Taja Siberians is a very small Siberian Husky breeder in beautiful south-east Michigan. We are very active with our dogs. In addition we do recreational biking, backpacking and hiking with our dogs. Their health is always our top priority and all of our Siberians undergo CERF clearances to clear their eyes and OFA health clearances for Thyroid and Hips at the appropriate ages. All of our puppies, including pet puppies, show puppies and performance puppies, come with a genetic warranty and a health guarantee when they go to their new homes. They are always current on their vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and with early training.
Our puppies are generally champion sired, and have both champion show lines and working sled dog lines in their pedigree. While we do not mush ourselves, we feel it is very important to retain the working ability of the breed. We strive to produce quality dogs and puppies with excellent show type, perfect temperament, and working instinct and ability. This is a working breed and we want to see it stay that way. To that end, we ensure that every puppy we produce is a nice blend of both show and sledding lines. We have puppies in show homes, dog sledding or working homes, agility homes and, of course, pet homes. We would love to see some of our future puppies in other performance homes such as obedience, tracking, search and rescue and therapy work, and we would be happy to help you choose a perfect agility, obedience, or other performance puppy. We are extremely active with our dogs and they are a major part of our lives. We show them in AKC, UKC, Canada ( CKC ), and Central Europe ( FCI & CMKU ). Our children have also been active in a local 4H dog project, K9 & Kompany, in 4H conformation, junior showmanship, obedience, and agility, and at the state and local dog shows and fairs.
Our dogs eat a natural raw diet which includes meat, fish, eggs in the shell, raw meaty bones and organ meat because we feel it is the best for them. Our puppies are also weaned directly onto a raw diet. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about feeding raw vs. a commercial kibble. We are happy to provide information regarding maintenance and health problems in your Siberian as well. Feel free to contact us if you need assistance with your Siberian or see our FAQ for information about your new Siberian Puppy. We do provide private rescue when we are able.
We are also happy to provide any information you may need about Siberians, Being a very active, working breed, they are not the dog for everyone. If you are having trouble with your dog or puppy, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help you resolve the problems. We can also provide information on a holistic natural diet, clicker and crate training and other common issues with this breed.
